Tariffs

Here is some important information on the tariffs impacting shipping to the USA (and beyond in some cases). Hopefully, this helps clear a bit of it up. This is a ever shifting situation and can change at any time. I will try to keep you updated the best I can.
The USA has removed the De Minimus program, by which shipments under $800usd wouldn't be tariffed or dutied and could pass through to customers with ease.

There are also ongoing trade negotiations that may impact things but for right now CUSMA/USMCA (Canada–United States–Mexico Agreement) covers the majority of goods between Canada and the US with some exceptions.

FAQ

Q: Can I still get resin horse sculptures and medallions shipped to the USA?
A: Yes! I’m still shipping resin artwork to the USA via DYK Post and USPS.

Q: Are there tariffs on resin sculptures or medallions?
A: My sculptures and medallions are cast in Canada (or in the USA by the Olps), which means they qualify for CUSMA/USMCA tariff-free entry. At this time, they are not being charged import tariffs.

Q: Are there tariffs on stickers?
A: Yes. Vinyl stickers are currently subject to a tariff of 5.8%.

Q: Are there tariffs on anything else you ship?
A: At this time I am limiting what I ship out. Candy and treats are tariffed and require FDA documentation and clearance so they may have to be limited or stop for the time being.

Q: Who pays any customs duties or fees?
A: At the moment, any charges are billed to me as the shipper, not collected from you. In the future, US Customs may resume charging duties directly to the customer, but since my pieces qualify as Canadian-made, they should remain duty-free.

Q: Could there be shipping delays?
A: Yes, there may be delays. DYK Post and USPS are still adapting to the new system for tariffs and a large load of previously exempt De Minimus shipments, which may cause longer processing and delivery times.

Q: Will prices go up?
A: Possibly. While my resins currently enter the USA tariff-free, I’m covering any courier handling, duties, and tariffs costs myself for now. If these costs increase significantly, I may need to adjust pricing in the future. I’ll try to keep you informed the best I can as this shifts and changes.

Q: Will prices in the clubs go up?
A: At this time I am obsorbing any costs the best I can. Each package is now subject to additional handling/duties through DYK even if they do not have tariffs. If pricing has to change I will let you know asap. I am doing my best to find ways to avoid that.

Q: What about International shipments outside of the USA? Are they impacted?
A: Possibly. I have already seen some carriers asking for duty up front for packages to the UK, so I am not sure if those systems are shifting as well. At this time I do not know any more but I will be keeping an eye on it.

Q: Are my orders secure?
A: Yes! The most important thing is that I can still ship resin sculptures and medallions to the USA, unlike many international artists who are unable to.
