Sneaky Peek - Viking Valor!

If you were in the art hangout on Sunday you got to see me flesh out something new! This guy is one I haven't shown off and I have been dreaming of Viking mythology and history....why? Because this valiant steed was the mount of great warriors and enrobed in leather and fur, charging into battle! Meet my newest in progress sculpture! This steed has yet to find his name but his spirit is STRONG! The Icelandic horse is known to be the viking horse. You can't get much cooler than that!

I mean...LOOK AT THAT! What is not to love? The dynamic energy and heart you can see just in this photo... or all that HAIR? It has to be done!

Also... it's not a tolt!

I'll be compiling a video on this fin toil and glue technique for bulking out an armature too! I really enjoy how quick and easy it is to get the shapes going! Once you see shapes it helps your eye!!

I hope you enjoy his brave little warrior self so far! I'd love some name suggestions too! He hasn't told me what he wants to be called yet... hmm... Defintiely something Viking inspired!
